The tinkle of glass shattering. The dull thud of a body hitting the ground. The piercing cracks of seven pistol shots. These are the sounds that accompany Ronan O'Connor's final moments in the world of the living. And then he dies.

But with Ronan's death, the story of Murdered: Soul Suspect has only just begun and with the game finally being released on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC in Europe today, you too can now uncover the secret of the mysterious Bell Killer! But before you begin, you must first check out our launch trailer:

Murdered: Soul Suspect is an entirely new gaming experience brought to you by Square Enix and Airtight Games.  With an unforgettably creepy storyline and unique gameplay that lets you use your ghostly powers to walk through walls, possess and influence human beings (and cats!), teleport to certain locations and generally have fun poltergeisting, you'll be sure to be drawn in instantly. And that’s just a little taste of the powers Ronan will begin to manifest, all the while dodging soul-sucking demons, completing side quests and, of course, hunting down the story's merciless antagonist, the Bell Killer, before his trail goes cold.

A few years ago, the team here at Square Enix and Airtight Games set out to create a game we could be proud of, something that wouldn’t be your run-of-the-mill shooter, RPG, or action game. We wanted to do something unique that Square Enix fans would really enjoy, and we think we’ve accomplished that. With the mix of great Square Enix storytelling, unique detective gameplay, and a rich cast of characters, we’re confident you guys will enjoy Murdered and we hope you guys have as much fun playing it as we had in making it!

It's been almost a year to the day since we first officially announced Murdered: Soul Suspect and we are all very excited to finally be able to present you with the finished product.  These last few weeks in particular have been quite gripping as many of you attempted to track down the Bell Killer in your own way by following the #markofsalem.

Now, however, the time has come for you to step into the ghostly shoes of Ronan and start discovering clues, investigating crime scenes, and ultimately, the murders left in the ruthless Bell Killer's wake. So dim the lights, draw the curtains, kick back and enjoy (while occasionally glancing over your shoulder). Happy hunting, Detective.

Please let us know if you have any questions or would just like to chat about the game in the comments below!

Airtight games tried something different and I think it was great. It's very sad to hear they've shut down earlier this week.

"...the same strong narrative that you'd associate with a Square Enix game." Yes, Quantum Conundrum had a very strong narrative:)

Glad to hear you're enjoying it! The team at Airtight Games set out to create a different type of game, one that's fresh and compelling but also has the same strong narrative that you'd associate with a Square Enix game.

Hey! You can still ask questions on here, it's just been a little manic trying to get back to everyone in good time. The forum is the best place to submit your issues/bugs with the game though, as it's easier to link and respond to individual comments.

Has it linked with your Steam account yet? There was a few problems with Steam early on but it should be fixed now...

It's only free if you pre-ordered the game, but there's been a few issues with the Digital Strategy Map recently which have stopped it from working. THese have now been fixed and it's up and running again: http://map.murdered.com

We've had problems with the Digital Strategy Map - pictures not loading, not registering, flags disappearing- but it's up and running again now.

You need to register a new account or connect with Facebook to access the Digital Strategy Map, it's not connected to the SE Members Account.

I've hardly had much of a chance to play. In all honesty it was a complete blind buy, I've not seen any trailers, gameplay and very few screenshots. The premise is what got me to get the game and I'm pleasantly surprised. I headed in expecting todays standard of games but its a complete breath of fresh air, pretty much an adventure game and its definitely a welcomed change of pace.

If you will read your comments again, you can understand, that best place for questions and suggestions is forum of MSS or SE:) Even if your problem will be solved in comments, how much people can find your solution? Search bots aren't scanning comments. Meanwhile yesterday I completed investigation in the place shown on the last picture and... I like this. There are all gameplay ideas what I like, except realism. But story about ghosts is not about that:) PS I asked something too, but my express question can be answered on the MSS forum. So I will not forget post my question in the right place next time:)

Just finished playing Murdered:Soul Suspect with a few comments: I agree with SantosThe MC so not worth $60.00. Good storyline with a twist almost felt like the Ghost whisperer in the movie "Ghost" LOL I missed a few collectables along the way and was extremely disappointed to learn once you start the last investigation "game finale" there's NO returning to the game. It's a complete start over (NEW GAME) errrrr I won't be repeating the game. No fun playing a second time once the mystery is solved. The demons were a headache and repetitive, the game would have been better with a little fight in them...LOL I rented this at Red Box and was finished minus the few collectables I missed in just under 13 hours. Definitely a renter not a buyer. The collectables in games is overbearing I wish someone would go another route "EVERY GAME" has collectables...move forward we are over the collectables. If you are looking for a good ghost story with pretty good paranormal events, no action combat and trophies for the taking this is worth your time. I did enjoy it very much! Just wish I got my platinum. Maybe I'll hit it up when it's free in the PS store get the rest of them. Enjoy your day! Chrissy

I became so addicted to the game that I beat it with in two days! I made sure to try to find every single artifact in the game but even after using the digital map I ended up missing one of the wall graffiti. The digital map became a bit confusing when clicking on the pic to see it up close it would have the wrong pic. Can you explain a bit why its like that?

Second game in a row after Thief where textures on wood buildings looks like copy-paste from TR. Arr! Can I login into map.murdered.com with SE account and then register code in... another window? Or isn't that site connected with another games like TR and Sleeping Dogs?
