The time has come once again for the curtain to fall on Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call. This is the last Theatrhythm Thursday for a while as the Second Performance series comes to a close this week. I know you must be feeling some real emotions right now so what can I do for you? Don’t worry, I can hear you and I can also let you know what new songs are available for Theatrhythm from today!

New DLC songs on sale from March 19, 2015 (each song costs £0.89/€0.99/$0.99 individually)

  • Chrono Trigger – Boss Battle 2
  • Chrono Trigger – Corridors of Time
  • Final Fantasy X-2 – Real Emotion
  • Live a Live – Birds in the Sky, Fish in the River
  • NieR – Shadowlord
  • Seiken Densetsu 3 – Meridian Child

I really hope that you guys have enjoyed the extra DLC we’ve released. It’s certainly gone far beyond the hazy borders of my heart and will hopefully transcend the corridors of time. The Second Performance was never actually planned but you guys seemed to enjoy the game and the previous DLC so much that we wanted to do more and thus the Second Performance came to be!

Like birds in the sky, fish in the river it felt like the right thing to do! I guess sometimes from time to time, it’s an upward climb and all I know is that I must believe. We’re all Meridian Children of the Shadowlord so thank you for your support with all of the boss battles and I hope you’ve enjoyed all the new songs we’ve added to Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call.

As a kind of parting gift we've also made two tracks free for you to download until Wednesday April 1, 2015 and those tracks are:

  • Final Fantasy Legend II

  • Struggle to the Death

  • Romancing SaGa3

  • Devil Lord Confrontation II

Always remember that if you find yourself in the world of real emotion and feel it has surrounded you, don’t give in to it. Your heart can go forward and you’ll never be alone.

This is the closest article I could find to FFX|X-2 on the PS4. I was hoping someone could shed some light on why the steelbook isn't coming over to North America? The calendar is cool, but that steelbook is awesome!

@slime_fan I don't think they've given a NA release yet. But if it's anything like CC, it'll probably be about 5 or 6 months.

When will Theatrhythm Dragon Quest come here?

I need more. My soul hurts. I have nothing else to look forward to besides more CC DLC, and I crave it.

You hold the rights for Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross and Xenogears, PLEASE either make a new game with ALL those magestic songs, or release them as DLCs!

I hope that there will be a third performance, as it would be sincerely generous of you guys. As Hushicho mentioned, it would be very nice to see Krile come to NA as there are quite a lot of people who do want her to be playable overseas, as well as making the character roster complete. I would also love it very much if Final Fantasy 1, Crisis Core, and Mystic Quest got their own DLC as well. At least one DLC from the three of them Square Enix would've had a much tougher time earlier on if it wasn't for the first Final Fantasy, so the third performance could act as a homage to that game and how it pushed the Final Fantasy series forward to what it is now. You guys have done a fantastic job with both performances, and I would love to see the third and final performance to be a GRAND FINALE of the sort, one that could top the other performances! Do that, and you will have not only my eternal gratitude, but the gratitude of many others who supported and love this game!
Hushicho
I sincerely hope you intend on a third performance, since you've notably omitted a character, Krile, from the DLC thus far outside of Japan. Since 5 is my favorite of all the Final Fantasy games, this is kind of a big deal -- it's also particularly glaring of an omission since that means she is the *only member of the main cast of 5* not present in the NA release. Why even omit a character like that? You have the character ready. I fail to see how it makes sense not to offer the DLC and make some more money off it. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm not exactly seeing much sense in just tossing up two characters who are literally clones of two other characters you don't have to pay for, but not the character that is distinctly herself. Please provide Krile. We've supported your game, your DLC, and everything else. Don't make us reconsider that in future. I bought Curtain Call with the expectation that we would get Krile and indeed all the DLC provided to the Japanese release. It makes absolutely no sense if we don't, and I'm certainly going to hesitate to purchase anything Square-Enix in future if I can't even have a reasonable expectation of consistent content.

What are your thoughts on Tactics A2, Dan?

I hope we get to see a third performance soon. Still several great tracks out there. I really hope you'll eventually add A Realm of Emptiness from FFXI. The Dissidia 012 version would be awesome.

I hope they do a 3rd performance (but have my doubts). Given the focus this second performance has had on other Square Enix titles they still have plenty to dip into, as well as more Final Fantasy tracks of course. I personally would've loved it if we could have seen the following: -The Landing - Final Fantasy VIII -Birth of a God - Final Fantasy VII -Freya's Theme - Final Fantasy IX -On Our Way - Final Fantasy VII -Black Mage Village - Final Fantasy IX -Run! - Final Fantasy X -Grand Finale - Final Fantasy VI -The Castle of Dawn - Final Fantasy V -Discord [Imperial Version] - Final Fantasy XII As well as some (more) tracks from the following other Square Enix games -Drakengard 1, 2 & 3 -Nier -Kingdom Hearts And that's by no means all of my list, it would be way too huge. Square-Enix has such a huge, rich list of games with spectacular music, if only we could have seen more of it - alas we will have to make do with the huge list we have already. Thanks again for making the second performance a reality :D

We really need Chrono Cross and more Xenogears.

Real Emotion is nice, but another NieR track is what's made me a happy bunny. It's just a shame the DLC has to end :'(
