FFXIV: ARR launching on the PS4 in 14 days!

There comes a time in everyone’s life when something fantastic happens. You get that perfect gift, that special something, your “je ne sais quoi” and “joie de vivre”. For the PlayStation 4, this perfect moment, this equilibrium in space and time, this miracle – it’s only 14 days away. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will finally be released on Sony’s Next Gen platform.

Ok, so maybe we’re a little over the top here, but FFXIV is finally coming to where it belongs – the living rooms of millions of PS4 owners -  and we’re celebrating it! We’re not only celebrating it by making sure that you’ll have a great gaming experience, but also by providing you with everything you need. So let’s start with…

The Beta!

From April 4-7 everyone will be able to join the last rehearsal before the show starts. All you need to do is access the PlayStation Store, search for Final Fantasy and install the beta (please uninstall the first beta client before doing so, should you still have it installed). Our beta will make sure that we clean the game up for its Early Access period (for those who pre-ordered their copy).

The beta will take place on live servers! So you will see the same worlds, the same game that 1.8 million players all around the world are already enjoying. And you will be able to continue playing them, once you bought the game.

The Collector’s Edition!

What would a true Final Fantasy fan be without his trusty Collector’s Edition and all the great items it comes with? From the security token, which will be making your account more secure and shield you from being hacked, to the adorable Fat Chocobo mount, which does not shy away from breaking into a sweat to quickly bring you from point A to B (well, if you dangle a nice snack in front of it…) – the CE offers tons of benefits, both in-game and for your shelf space. Did we mention that accounts with a security token can set a teleport destination of their choice, and from then on teleport there for absolutely free, nil, nada, nothing? Yes, it’s that awesome.

Early Access!

If you’re among those that pre-ordered the game (or already have an active account), you will be able to access the game one weekend before everyone else! From April 11-13, the weekend before the official launch, you can start building your character, getting a head start and making friends from all over the globe.
