Welcome to the New Square Enix Europe Website
It’s been in development for quite some time, but all the hard work from the web team has paid off and we’re very excited to reveal the new Square Enix Europe website.
So what’s changed?
One Hub to Rule Them All
There was plenty of cool content for you to feast upon already but we wanted to give you a website that was clean and easy to navigate. We’ve combined the Square Enix homepage and the Members blog together to form one easy to use hub. Going to eu.square-enix.com to get all the latest news and information has never been more enjoyable.
Bye-Bye Members
We’ve shortened the URL. Now it’s even easier to hop over to your one-stop destination for Square Enix news. Just type eu.square-enix.com and you’re good to go!
One Log-in
Not only that but you may have noticed that we’ve been rolling out the ‘Square Enix Bar’ on many of our websites. The idea is to give you one simple log-in to make interacting with everything our websites much simpler. Whether you’re on the Sleeping Dogs website or Heroes of Ruin, you can post comments and join in with the community without having to register all over again. It also means you only have one login to remember (yay!). There are some exceptions when it comes to FINAL FANTASY XI and XIV but we’ll be posting a FAQ soon that will clarify this.
What’s next?
We’re not putting our feet up quite yet, we’ve only just begun! We’ve got a lot of great ideas that we’re hoping to roll out in the near future; many of them suggested by you the community. In the coming weeks we’ll go into these features in more detail and ask for your feedback.
The Store
We’re very pleased to announcing that we’ll soon be offering our first ever online store for Square Enix Europe. Initially you’ll only be able to buy the digital download versions of our games but we’ll be looking to expand this in the future.
The Game Library
We’re also heavily working on improving the library of games listed on the website. We’ll be working through the back catalogue of products that aren’t listed on the site so that you’ll have a place to find details on all our titles as well as create a place for you to chat about your favourite games. If you think the game pages are missing anything then please let us know.
This website fits into some really big ideas we have here in the web team, but it’s still incredibly important for us to have you feedback every step of the way. This website is your home as much as ours so it’s important for us to hear what you think. With that in mind we’d love for you to give us your initial thoughts as well as your hopes for the website.
