What is FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE?
FINAL FANTASY XII is a timeless story of conflict, honor and duty, set in the war-torn world of Ivalice. The small kingdom of Dalmasca has been conquered by the technologically-superior Archadian Empire.
Princess Ashe, last survivor to the throne, is doing her best to resist the occupation and, joined by a ragtag group, comprised of street rats, sky pirates and disgraced warriors, sets off on a quest to liberate her country.
THE ZODIAC AGE edition of the game upgrades the original PlayStation 2 classic with new features, and quality of life improvements, including the ability to speed up time, and a revamped job system that allows for greater specialisation of roles within your party.

What new features have been added to FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE on Switch and Xbox?
The Switch and Xbox One editions of the game add some additional features that that improve the game even further.
The battle system in FINAL FANTASY XII allows you to set up ‘gambits’ - easy to set, but detailed instructions for how your party should act in battle.
In this latest release, you can now have up to three sets of gambits and switch between them at any time. So if, for example, you run into a boss where your current setup is more hinderance than help, you can quickly switch to another that better suits that scenario.
Another useful addition - and one requested by fans - is the ability to reset the jobs that are assigned to your party members, and change them if necessary. It means you’re not locked into a decision - if you think you made a mistake when picking a role for one of your characters, you can have a do-over.
Finally, you can now carry items over into New Game+ - something that should make subsequent playthroughs even more enjoyable.
