Adds the ability to reset licenses, adds Gambit sets and more.

Just a quick heads-up: new features have just been added to FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE on PC and PS4.

Available in a new update from today, you can now create multiple Gambit sets, reset licenses and more. Read on and we’ll explain the additions in detail:

Reset licenses

For the uninitiated, licenses in FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE are essentially jobs. Each character can be assigned up to two, and they define the role they play in battle - for example, knight, black mage, white mage, archer and so on.

Previously, once you had assigned a license to a character, that choice was locked in, but now you can reset them. So that’s good news for anyone who doesn’t like a particular character setup, wants to experiment with different combinations, or is just afraid of commitment.

To reset your license, you need to go to Rabanastre and talk to Montblanc, the leader of Clan Centurio. He’ll take it from there.

Multiple Gambit sets

Gambits sit at the heart of FINAL FANTASY XII’s battle system. They let you set simple, but precise sets of instructions that define how your party members will act in battle.

The genius of the system is that no Gambit setup will work for every fight, so you need to switch tactics as new challenges confront you.

That’s now easier than ever thanks to the new update, which adds the ability to store up to three sets of Gambits, and switch between them quickly.

FINAL FANTASY XII OST added

FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE on PC and PS4 already featured two music options as standard - the new re-orchestrated soundtrack and the original PS2 tracks.

The new patch gives everyone a third option - the original PS2 game’s OST (original soundtrack). It’s similar to the PS2 version, but with higher quality sound and slightly different arrangements for some songs.

If you have FINAL FANTASY XII THE ZODIAC AGE on Switch or Xbox One, these features are also included in those versions of the game.

But what if you don’t have the game at all? Well here’s some more good news - it's currently on sale on the PlayStation Store and Steam.
