Shadow of the Tomb Raider – Hunt for the Golden Dagger (the “Promotion”) Official Rules

Key Rules

  1. Official Rules: The Official Rules for this Promotion consist of both (i) these key rules summarizing the important rules for participating in the Promotion (the “Key Rules”) and (ii) the Additional Promotion Official Rules (“Additional Rules”) applicable to your place of legal residence.  Please review the Additional Rules at the following URL:
  1. Territories:  This Promotion is open only to individuals who are legal residents and physically and permanently located in one of the following countries/territories at the date and time of entry (the “Promotion Jurisdiction”):
    • The United Kingdom (excluding the British Overseas Territories).                         
  1. Age Limit:  This Promotion is open only to individuals 18 years of age or older at the date and time of entry.
  1. Entry Period:  You may enter the Promotion only between 14:00 (BST) on September, 11th, 2018 and 19:00 (BST) on September, 13th, 2018 (the “Entry Period”). 
  1. Entry Procedure and Limitations:  In order to enter the Promotion, you must complete the following steps during the Entry Period:       
    • Watch the Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Hunt for the Golden Dagger livestream, available online during the Entry Period, at the following URL: mixer.com/SquareEnix (the “Livestream”).  
    • The Livestream will present a series of video puzzles (“Puzzles”) to reveal a physical geographical location (“Location”); you must solve the Puzzles.
    • Travel to the Location and present yourself to Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee at the Location and follow Sponsor’s or Sponsor’s designee’s instructions at the Location (such instructions may include remaining present at the Location, or returning to the Location at a certain time).

While traveling to or from the Location, and at all other times when you are participating in the Promotion, you must behave in a safe fashion and must abide by all applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, traffic regulations, safety regulations, and posted speed limits.  You are solely responsible for all costs associated with travel, if any. 

  1. Winner Selection:  The Sponsor’s designee shall select one (1) grand prize winner and nineteen (19) runner up winners from among all entries using the following methodology:
    • The first twenty (20) individuals (“Finalists”) to solve the Puzzle, travel to the Location, and present themselves to Sponsor or Sponsor’s designee at the Location will be assigned a unique reference number (“URN”) that will be entered into a draw.
    • Sponsor’s designee shall select one (1) grand prize winner from among the Finalists through a computerized automated random draw of one URN from among all URNs. The draw shall be supervised by an independent adjudicator.
    • The remaining nineteen (19) Finalists shall be runner up winners. 
  1. Prize(s):  The grand prize winner shall receive the following grand prize: 
    • Twenty Thousand Pounds Sterling (£20,000.00). Personal identification and proof of address of the grand prize winner may be requested and required prior to payment. Payment shall be made by bank transfer within 30 days of Sponsor’s receipt of any such identification or proof of address.

The runner up prize winners shall each receive the following runner up prize: 

    • one (1) copy of Shadow of the Tomb Raider for the winner’s choice of Microsoft Xbox One or Sony PlayStation 4 (approximate retail value £49.99)
  • Winner Notification:  Sponsor, or Sponsor’s designee, will notify the winner in person at the Location immediately following the draw on September 13th, 2018.   
  • Other Details: You acknowledge that: (i) Sponsor and/or Sponsor’s designee will photograph and record video footage at the Location; and (ii) your likeness may be photographed and/or recorded at the Location. In addition to the uses outlined in paragraph 10 of the Additional Rules, by entering the Promotion you agree to Sponsor using your name and likeness, including your likeness as photographed and/or recorded at the Location, for the purposes of promoting Sponsor’s products in any and all media, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. 

You may not enter the Promotion if you are employed by or in any way affiliated with: (i) the Sponsor; (ii) The Producers Live Limited; (iii) Umbrella Risk Management Limited; or (iv) Groovy Gecko Limited.

In order to comply with advertising regulations the Sponsor must make the surname and county of each winner available on request. If you would like to request this information in relation to the Promotion, please send a stamped, self-address enveloped to the Sponsor’s designee at the address listed below within four (4) weeks from the end of the Entry Period:

  1. Sponsor:  The sponsor of this Promotion is Square Enix Limited.
    By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound and abide by these Key Rules and the Additional Rules applicable to your place of legal residence, and you represent that you satisfy all eligibility requirements to enter the Promotion.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS PROMOTION.  A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
