Worlds Connect in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX

So yesterday we did something a little unusual. We released two Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX trailers at the same time!

Worlds connect as timeless Disney characters and unforgettable villains return with cameos from characters from Final Fantasy. 

Watch the first trailer below and see how many Disney characters you can remember. Sadly my favourite characters Chip n’ Dale didn’t make it into this trailer but there are so many memorable characters the trailer would probably be its own feature film if we put them all in! I’m still happy because Hercules and Hades made it in.

And below is the second trailer which is all about the Final Fantasy cameos in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX. Considering Final Fantasy VII, VIII and X are my personal favourite Final Fantasy games, this trailer feels like it was made just for me! I still remember playing Kingdom Hearts II for the first time and watching Leon and Cloud fight the Heartless back to back was what the fanboy in me was dying to see. It’s still to this day my personal favourite scene in the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

I remember when the original Kingdom Hearts was announced and that Disney and Square were teaming up to make an action RPG. Having grown up playing classic Disney games on the Mega Drive and Super NES, I always loved playing Disney video games and a team-up with Square and Final Fantasy blew my mind.

The Worlds Connect trailers are a nice little reminder of how unique this union between Square Enix and Disney truly is. After all these years these characters can still conjure such an array of memories and emotions.
