As for FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE, read on and we’ll tell you all about the game!
What is FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE?
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE is a thrilling RPG that combines impeccable storytelling, iconic characters, beautiful visuals and art design and a stunning combat system that combines fast-paced action with strategic commands.
FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE was a critical hit, with the PS4 version winning Best RPG in The Game Awards 2020. The INTERGRADE edition includes that unforgettable adventure as well as the FF7R EPISODE INTERmission story (more on that below).
What is FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE about?
The game is set in Midgar - an industrial city built on the power of mako. This powerful energy source is controlled by the Shinra Electric Power Company - an amoral corporation that runs the city and much of the world around it.
The game begins when Cloud Strife - a mercenary and former SOLDIER operative, agrees to help the anti-Shinra group Avalanche on a mission to sabotage one of the company’s reactors. Little does he know, it’s about to set off a chain of events that will change the city forever - and reintroduce him to a former hero turned enemy: Sephiroth.
What can you expect from the game?
As Cloud, you’ll follow a deep and emotional narrative that takes you all around the city of Midgar. Along the way, you’ll meet some of the most iconic characters in gaming, including the big-hearted Barret, kickass martial artist Tifa, local florist and magical maestro Aerith and ‘Lab-rat-dog’ Red XIII.
Midgar is a place of many dangers, and you’ll face off against all kinds of foes - from snarling fiends to Shinra’s many mechanical monstrosities. Bad news for Cloud and the party, perhaps but good news for us because FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE’s combat system is a revelation.
It’s action-packed - you attack, block and dodge enemies in real-time, all while filling your ATB gauge. When you open the command menu, you can slow down time and spend ATB to issue a command to a member of the active party. This makes for battles that are very exciting, but also give you room to strategize and think on the fly. It’s hugely entertaining, and the impressive range of foes and challenges in the game offers impressive variety.
Add plenty of side jobs for Cloud to build his reputation as a mercenary, fun minigames, the flexible materia system and, of course, the legendary soundtrack and you have an exceptional RPG that’s as much a delight for new players as it is for fans of the original game!
Plus, on Nintendo’s shiny new console, you’ll be able to enjoy the game anywhere on the go in portable mode - and enjoy enhanced graphics and upgraded textures when played on the big screen!
What is FF7R EPISODE INTERmission?
This additional story takes place concurrently with the events in the base game. You play as Yuffie Kisaragi - a young ninja on a uniquely dangerous mission: to infiltrate the Shinra Building and steal some powerful materia that’s under development.
Of course, it’s far from straightforward. She must contend with plenty of threats and distractions, from helping her Avalanche contacts to managing a potentially crippling addiction to the Fort Condor minigame.
…ok that last one’s more me than her. Trust me - Fort Condor is awesome.
That’s all we can share for now, but we’ll have more to tell you about the game in the future. If you want to be kept up to date with news, be sure to follow the Square Enix and FINAL FANTASY VII accounts on social media:
