You may have already heard, but we’ve got a demo coming your way for NEO: The World Ends with You… and it’ll be available today!

In case you did miss the news, check out the newest game trailer here:

NEO: The World Ends With You Trailer

As if that trailer didn’t already get you hyped for the demo, here are five more reasons to be excited.

1. Meet the most stylish cast in videogames

Let’s start with the incredibly stylish group of characters you’ll hang out with. In the demo you’ll meet three members of the Wicked Twisters team.

Rindo is the main character you’ll play as, and the leader of the Wicked Twisters. He’s joined by his best friend Fret, who has a very happy-go-lucky personality… you can’t help but want to be his pal. trends.

Finally there’s the highly intelligent Minamimoto, who some of you may remember from the original The World Ends with You.

Rindo and the gang aren’t the only stylish ones walking the streets of Shibuya - there are also the Reapers.

Yes, they may be your enemy, but they also have interesting personality traits and a great sense of fashion. With the amount of work they have to do to keep the Reapers’ Game running, you have to wonder how they have time to follow all the latest trends.

2. Dynamic combat

The streets of Shibuya are full of dangers, and we’re not just talking about the hordes of pedestrians. Rindo and the gang will also have to band together to defeat dangerous enemies called Noise.

Fortunately, you can customise your team’s play style, equipping each member with an individual pin that gives them access to amazing psychic powers called Psychs. These abilities include all kinds of effects, from launching enemies into the air and attacking them in close combat, to volleying them with projectiles - the way you fight is up to you.

You’ll want to find the perfect combination of Psychs to perfect your team’s synchronisation in battle.Execute combos to build up your team's Groove, because once full you can unleash a devastating attack - known as a Mashup - to inflict massive damage.

3. Unique Psychs

Not only will you be able to use the aforementioned Psychs during combat, they also come in handy throughout the rest of the game. You and your teammates will need to maximise the use of these unique abilities if you’re going to escape the Reapers’ Game.

For example, in the demo you can try out Fret’s unique Psych, Remind. This is incredibly helpful as it allows you to jog people’s memory and help them remember key information.

Let’s say there’s a Reaper blocking your way, and they’ve forgotten the mission needed for you to get past. Activate Remind to start a minigame. You’ll have to tilt the left and right sticks on your controller in the correct positions to reassemble the scattered memory. Put all the pieces in the right place and… voilà, that forgetful Reaper remembers what they need to do.

4. The music

Musician and composer Takeharu Ishimoto, the creator of the original game’s beloved soundtrack, returns to the series with a whole new soundtrack and it doesn’t disappoint.

You won’t be able to stop nodding your head as you run through the urban streets of Shibuya, vibing to popular tracks from the original game, and new tracks as they play in the background.

5. Your save carries over

Best of all, your save will carry over into the full game! There’s no need for you to worry about restarting the game, losing your pins, or having to level up your team again.

This is the perfect chance for you to grind and max out the strength of your pins! Although be warned, in this demo your level will cap at fifteen and there is a limit of up to ten copies of the same pins - any further duplicates will be erased.

Those were just some of the key things to be excited for in the NEO: The World Ends with You demo… but we don’t want to spoil everything now, do we? You need to experience it all for yourself when the demo launches today!
