A look at some of the best KINGDOM HEARTS merchandise

Take KINGDOM HEARTS beyond the console, with action figures and more.
By Duncan Heaney

By now, loads of you will have played through KINGDOM HEARTS III. You may have even beaten Critical Mode. (If so, bravo!)

Did you know that the KINGDOM HEARTS series has some rather impressive merchandise available as well? We thought it was worth highlighting some of our favorites:

KINGDOM HEARTS III BRING ARTS - SORA

This Sora action figure has been made with a staggering attention to detail. The series hero is in his KINGDOM HEARTS III look and everything from the accessories to the coloring has been incorporated from the game itself.

Speaking of accessories, the figure comes with a wide selection, including Keyblades, interchangeable hands and even two heads to show different moods.

Combined with a wide range of articulation, you have a figure that can be posed to a spectacular degree. Like in this photo of Sora enjoying a well-deserved cup o’ joe (we love this pic):

KINGDOM HEARTS III BRING ARTS SORA (GUARDIAN FORM VERSION)

If you want even more Sora, you should check out this event and online store exclusive BRING ARTS action figure, featuring Sora in his Guardian Form. When powered up in this form, Sora’s clothes turn yellow, and his defensive options increase dramatically.

The six-inch action figure is meticulously detailed to perfectly match its in-game counterpart. As you’d expect from BRING ARTS figures, it’s intensely poseable and comes equipped with an alternate head and multiple sets of hands.

One more bonus (at least for me) - this Sora figure comes equipped with one of my personal favorite Keyblades in the game, Hero’s Origin.

Sadly, it doesn’t turn into a chariot - action figure technology has only come so far.

KINGDOM HEARTS II STATIC ARTS GALLERY - RIKU

If you prefer Riku, this six-inch KINGDOM HEARTS II figure will fill your heart with light.

Despite the small scale, the detailing is superb - just look at his hair and clothes to see how much attention has been paid to the paintwork.

Also, I’d draw your attention to the base - the star and shadow by Riku’s feet are made of translucent material, so it looks as though light is being cast. It’s a neat effect, right?

NEW MERCHANDISE TO PREORDER

If you’re willing to wait, there are some amazing bits of KINGDOM HEARTS merchandise just around the corner…

KINGDOM HEARTS III BRING ARTS – KAIRI

In KINGDOM HEARTS III, Kairi has become a Keyblade master, and now she’s also part of the BRING ARTS range.

This figure has been sculpted and colored in such a way to specifically highlight the different textures of Kairi’s hair, skin and distinctive pink outfit.

Speaking of her outfit, the skirt is made of soft material to support maximum articulation. Kairi’s capable of some pretty dramatic poses.

As with most BRING ARTS figures, Kairi comes with plenty of accessories - you’ll get the Keyblade ‘Destiny’s Embrace’ along with two alternate heads and four alternate hands.

The figure is due out in October 2019. You can preorder it here:

KINGDOM HEARTS III BRING ARTS - Axel

Axel - or Lea - was originally a member of Organization XIII. Now reverted to human form, he’s joined the Guardians of Light as a Keyblade master.

This BRING ARTS action figure accurately replicates Axel’s outfit and appearance from KINGDOM HEARTS III. His coat is made of soft material, so that it doesn’t affect articulation, and there’s a two-tone coloring effect on his Keyblade to create an illusion of depth and solidity.

Axel comes packed with lots of accessories, including both his chakrams and a Keyblade, an alternative face and six different hands. Oh - and rest assured, you’ll also get three sea salt ice creams. You’ll have to find your own clock tower to sit him on though.

Axel’s figure is out in October 2019 - got it memorized?

KINGDOM HEARTS III BRING ARTS - SORA PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN VERSION

Yo ho, yo ho, it’s a pirate’s life for Sora.

Sora’s adventures with Captain Jack Sparrow are some of the most visually striking parts of KINGDOM HEARTS III. This brand new action figure shows Sora in his distinctive pirate outfit, replicating the look right down to the textures and weathering on his coat.

That coat is made of soft material, so full articulation remains possible. There’s plenty of poseable potential too, with numerous accessories included, including the ‘Wheel of Fate’ Keyblade, two alternate heads and six hands.

This BRING ARTS Sora figure is due for release in November, 2019, but ye can preorder now, me hearty!

KINGDOM HEARTS III BRING ARTS - King Mickey

The brave and noble King Mickey will soon be available as a brand new BRING ARTS figure.

Not only is he the ruler of Disney Castle, King Mickey is a powerful Keyblade Master in his own right - his travels with Riku in KINGDOM HEARTS III were a highlight of the adventure.

He’s dressed in his outfit from the game, and it’s made from soft, flexible material to ensure the action figure remains fully posable.

The BRING ARTS King Mickey action figure will be out around October 2019, but you can preorder to be among the first to get it!
