The news was delivered by FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida, during the Letter from the Producer LIVE stream. He also revealed what fans can expect in the next few months, as the Stormblood expansion reaches its conclusion.

Patch 4.55 - Arrives February 12

The next patch for the game is imminent, and adds some exciting new content:

  • New Rival Wings Map: “Hidden Gorge” - The next installment in this 48-man PvP content has a new map and rules. Ceruleum Engines run through the zone, causing damage and knockback to any they hit, and you can win the favour of Goblin Mercenaries, causing them to fight alongside you.

  • Eureka Hydatos - The fourth and final entry in the Eureka storyline will raise the elemental level cap to 60, add new logos actions and allow gear enhanced in Pyros to be further improved. Those who follow the story to its conclusion will be able to enter The Baldesion Arsenal, an ultra high-end public instanced dungeon for up to 56 players.

Patch 4.56 – Scheduled Late March

The Stormblood storyline comes to an end in late March, with Patch 4.56. Here’s what’s in it:

  • New Main Scenario Quests - The Stormblood storyline comes to a shocking conclusion.

  • Even Further Hildibrand Adventures - The Inspector Extraordinaire makes a return.

* Stormblood Beast Tribe Quests - A new quest series that brings together the Beast Tribes of Stormblood.

Patch 4.57

This will introduce the World Visit System, which lets you travel to any world within your data center and play with friends and meet new ones!

Patch 4.58
