OFFICIAL RULES (THE “PROMOTION”)
KEY RULES
A. Official Rules: The Official Rules for this Promotion consist of both (i) these key rules summarizing the important rules for participating in the Promotion (the “Key Rules”) and (ii) the Additional Promotion Official Rules (“Additional Rules”) applicable to your place of legal residence. Please review the Additional Rules at the following URL:
B. Territories: This Promotion is open only to individuals who are legal residents and physically and permanently located in one of the following countries/territories at the date and time of entry (the “Promotion Jurisdiction”):
- The fifty (50) states of the United States of America, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
- Canada (excluding Quebec).
- The United Kingdom (excluding the British Overseas Territories).
C. Age Limit: This Promotion is open only to individuals 18 years of age or older at the date and time of entry.
D. Entry Period: You may enter the Promotion during the following periods: (the “Entry Period”).
- Speedrun Challenge: Friday, March 25 - Monday, March 28 from 6:00 pm GMT / 11:00 am PDT
- Unlock Every Job Class Challenge: Monday, March 28 – Tuesday, March 29 from 6:00 pm BST / 10:00 am PDT
- One Hour Run Challenge: Tuesday, March 29 – Wednesday, March 30 from 6:00 pm BST / 10:00 am PDT
E. Entry Procedure and Limitations: In order to enter the Promotion, you must complete the following steps during the Entry Period:
I. COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE
There are three main challenges, each with their own trials and tribulations. The first place winner of each challenge will receive a limited edition STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN Bomber Jacket. These challenges are:
- Speedrun
- Goal: Complete the game from the “Illusion at Journey’s End” level at Chaos Shrine through the boss battle in Terra Tortura as quickly as possible in action mode.
- First Place Winner: The winner of the challenge will receive a STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN Bomber Jacket.
- One Hour Run
- Goal: See how far players can get within one hour of gameplay from the “Illusion at Journey’s End” level at Chaos Shrine in action mode. We will be checking how many stages a player can complete within one hour.
- First Place Winner: The winner of the challenge will receive a STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN Bomber Jacket.
- Second Place Winner: The second place winner will receive a STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN Crystal-making kit.
- Unlock every job class
- Goal: Unlock the following twenty-seven (27) job classes in the shortest amount of playtime: Swordsman, Marauder, Swordfighter, Lancer, Duelist, Pugilist, Ronin, Mage, Berserker, Warrior, Knight, Dragoon, Red Mage, Thief, Samurai, Monk, White Mage, Black Mage, Dark Knight, Breaker, Liberator, Void Knight, Paladin, Ninja, Assassin, Tyrant, Sage. Achievements will unlock when you complete this task.
- First Place Winner: The winner of the challenge will receive a STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN Bomber Jacket.
II. SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY
- Entries will be submitted and verified via Twitter. To submit a run for consideration, you must provide a link to a Twitch, Facebook, or YouTube video or VOD to @fforigin and @gamesight on Twitter. Limit one entry per person per challenge.
- Once runs have been confirmed by the Gamesight analytics team, @fforigin will announce the winners on the game’s official social media accounts.
III. LIMITATIONS ON MUSIC
For public facing streams / videos: Please do not include the song “My Way” in any video content. See below for further detail:
- The song plays approximately 4-minutes into the game for approximately one minute.
- Please mute the audio following the cutscene of Jack defeating Tiamat and unmute once the player is given the camera controls in the field of wheat.
- The song plays briefly during a cutscene in Chapter 4-5. Following Jack’s conversation with his teammates about the Lufenians, Jack will play “My Way” on his music player. The song ends once the party arrives at Cornelia.
- Ending cutscenes may not be included, with or without the music. The song plays during the game’s first ending cutscene in Chapter 4-6.
F. Winner Selection: The Sponsor (listed below), or Sponsor’s designee, shall select four (4) winners from among all entries using the following methodology:
- Square Enix has designated the Gamesight analytics team to verify each submission to determine a winner. In the event of a tie both entrants will receive a STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN Bomber Jacket.
G. Prize(s): Each winner shall receive each of the following prize(s):
- First place winners will receive a STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN Bomber Jacket (approximate retail value of USD $45.00 / GBP £34.16)
- The second place winner of the One Hour Run challenge will receive a STRANGER OF PARADISE FINAL FANTASY ORIGIN Crystal-making kit (approximate retail value of USD $20.00 / GBP £15.18)
H. Winner Notification: Sponsor, or Sponsor’s designee, will notify winner(s) by or about April 15, 2022 via Gamesight’s official Twitter account.
I. Sponsor: The sponsor of this Promotion is Square Enix, Inc.
By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound and abide by these Key Rules and the Additional Rules applicable to your place of legal residence, and you represent that you satisfy all eligibility requirements to enter the Promotion.
