How do you follow up a game as beloved as FINAL FANTASY VII? That was just one of the many challenges faced by the creators of FINAL FANTASY VIII - and just one of the subjects they talk about in our latest entry in the ‘Inside’ video documentary series.

‘Inside FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered’ features exclusive interviews with the team that worked on the original game, including the game’s Director, Yoshinori Kitase, Producer Shinji Hashimoto and Art Director Yusuke Naora.

They discuss everything from the creation of the more realistic art-style, the influence of Eastern and Western fairy tales on the story and more.

About FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered

FINAL FANTASY VIII tells an epic story of war, betrayal and love, in a world plunged into disarray by conflict. The powerful nation of Galbadia has formed an alliance with the Sorceress Edea. It’s goal - nothing less than world conquest.

As the world fall into chaos, a team of young mercenaries - led by the Squall Leonhart - are dispatched into action. Squall’s a loner by nature, but when he meets the passionate and free-spirited Rinoa Heartilly, his outlook begins to change.

FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered updates the original game for a new generation. It features enhanced character models, as well as a range of boosters, such as the ability to speed up time or turn off random encounters.
